SPICE RACK!!!!

When you’ve been conditioned to see yourself as less, as unworthy, when you’ve been told that you’re no good and this treatment has been systematic and continuous, it is extremely difficult to alter the power of that conditioning within yourself. You will always be fighting this conception in yourself because it has been set in your formation. The glory is that you can change your self-perception. The difficulty is that you will constantly need to change it. You will never be rid of the necessity of daily training yourself that you are worthwhile, that you deserve better, that you have a magnificent soul. People who weren’t raised in abusive homes won’t get it. The idea of being worthwhile to them is a given. They can take off from there. They don’t get why you need the extra time each day to rebuild your self-perception. But that’s all cool. You don’t owe healthy people an explanation. And you certainly don’t owe the tyrants from your life. You don’t owe people shit. You didn’t ask to be born and you didn’t give notes before your mother gave birth. So keep up that grind, keep up that daily renewal. Never forget that you are worthwhile but that you have to, of necessity, develop a protocol that reminds you, that makes you feel better about you.
